Main types of Poker
There are a lot of differing poker games which you can play but the three major types featured are Omaha, Texas Hold'em and Seven Card Stud. Texas Hold'em is a contest for two to ten card players with each player having a maximum of two cards, which combined with the three on the table allow the player to make their best possible hand. Every player in Omaha is given four cards and needs to create a hand using two of the cards they have and the three on the board. Seven Card Stud includes players being handed seven cards during various problems of which three are face down and four are shown.

However there are gambling strategies to help which may well be the key between being given a reputation of a donkey or fish. Terms for poker

The first cards flipped onto the board are commonly known as flops and any further cards which are flipped over are known as the turn and the river. The two players to the left of the dealer are named small blind and big blind, while the cards dealt to every player are called hole cards. If it is you have the best hand available then you have the nuts, if you are called a fish it equates to your aggressive playing and if you are known as a donkey it suggests you are prone to losing bets and making silly calls.
